May 17,2021 Large Vessel Occlusion in the Prehospital Setting 1800-2000
May is National Stroke Awareness Month! EMS provider assessment and determination of appropriate stroke facility triage will make a difference in stroke patient outcome. Dr. Veznedaroglu, MD, FAANS, FAH Neurosurgeon from Global Neurosciences Institute at Crozer will join us to present a pathology review of large vessel occlusions, modified RACE scoring and endovascular interventions available for stroke patients. This class will be offered in person as well as virtual.

This continuing education lecture series will occur on the 3rd Monday of each month. It will include a 2-3 hour lecture reviewing various topics relevant to EMS providers. This continuing education opportunity will be free and open to EMS providers throughout the region.
Unless otherwise noted, all classes will offer an in-person option as well as virtual. An email will be sent to registered participants the morning of the class with a link to join virtually.
Anyone planning to attend in person must wear a mask and pass all screening questions as well as a temperature screening.
