Emergency Services UTV/ATV Program
- If you are coming from a sponsoring agency that will be paying for you, please complete that part of the application
- Payment is due prior to the day of the course
- The course starts at 8:30 am
- Students must bring a vehicle for the course
- You must be 18 years of age to take this program
- Having EVOC, or being a PA EMSVO in NOT mandatory for this program
- Course length is eight hours
- Eligible for six other category continuing education credits

Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV) and All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV) have gained wider acceptance and use in both the fire service and EMS. These vehicles can help responders take quick action with less physical exhaustion of department members. These vehicles not only help emergency responders that use them, but also benefit the people served by the emergency service organization. Adding UTVs and ATVs to an ESO fleet can provide great benefits but might also present safety issues if the vehicles have not been properly trained in the operation and maintenance. This safety program was eveloped to provide refresher training for ESOs that use these types of specialty vehicles.
